Imposing headdress for Officer of the Guides of S.M. of the Neapolitan Army, datable to the 1950s of the 19th century; shaft covered in bear fur, with imperial and adjustable band in black varnished leather, alludes and wimple in blackened leather, lining in scarlet silk bearing gold imprint of "V L D" monogram surmounted by Count's crown; complete with the showy tassel covered in golden gilded braid and surmounted by a red painted horsehair tail; in excellent condition considering its age, with light signs of use and a pleasant period patina; very rare
